After going 2-2 in Mavs Classic, the Redhawks girls’ basketball team takes on Wylie East High School Thursday at 9 a.m. in Allen.
“We’re preparing by looking at their offensive and defensive looks,” senior Christal Webb said. “As well as protecting the rim against their offense”
Head coach Ross Reedy feels that rather than improving for this game, it is more important to use this game to improve as players overall.
“Sure we’re focusing on Wylie East but really we’re focusing on the process of focusing on yourself and where you need to be,” Reedy said. “It’s kind of like a person’s development, the formative years of someone’s life are essential. That’s where most of the foundation and fundamental change takes place. Same thing on the season. Early on we focus on ourselves, our product, getting us better because once you reach January, February, you’re kind of who you are as a team.”
