Zombies are loose in school. For the past couple days students in Advanced Chemistry have been preparing for their unit test in a unique way.
Advanced Chemistry teacher Brock McNeal helped plan this activity to helps students understand chemistry concepts in a unique manner.
“Its a review game for an upcoming assessment where it’s kind of zombie apocalypse themed,” McNeal said. “Students have to answer questions across different categories to be able to get points in that category that earn them thing like food or shelter. At the end of the game, if they answer enough questions, we decide what the amount of substance it is that they need and whether they survive is based on how many questions they got right.”
For sophomore Will Whitehouse this has helped understand the concepts for the test in a more enjoyable way.
“It makes it more fun so in class we can be bored and tired whereas in her where were moving round all the time and working on more fun things,” Whitehouse said. “Like, I can get more engaged and its more fun to do.”
