Seniors applying early decision or early action can now relax as the deadline has passed for those schools.
“It’s a really big relief,” senior Peyton Vargus said. “It’s honestly really rewarding because now that I’m starting to see a lot of my schools have been submitted, I’m seeing that like my work is finally being put somewhere and it’s like actually happening.”
For most schools, the early applications deadline is Nov. 1 with some schools offering extensions. Although applying early for most schools, senior Tarak Oak did not get the early action option for all of his schools.
“The UC application is a bit hefty, but I really do want to go to California so that’s my motivator,” Oak said. “Yea im trying to get that done ASAP. I also just have like my reach schools left, so those will be submitted around January or February.”
The process for completing an application can be time consuming with Oak often fueled by caffeine.
“My favorite place to get those apps done is PJ’s or Starbucks,” Oak said. “I put on my headphones, grab a snack, and get to work.”
