Monthly board meeting will recognize Redhawks

The monthly board meeting is set to kick off with special recognitions including the Wakeland Boys’ Cross Country team, the Centennial High School Tennis Team, and National Merit semifinalists from across the district.

The monthly board meeting is set to kick off with special recognitions including the Wakeland Boys’ Cross Country team, the Centennial High School Tennis Team, and National Merit semifinalists from across the district.

In addition, the meeting will also feature a future ready spotlight on Wilkinson Middle School, the results of the 2024 financial audit, and a discussion about rezoning for next school year. 

The board will also vote on whether or not to approve minutes from the October meeting, the 2025-26 school year calendar, and legislative priorities for the Texas 89th Legislative Session.

Students competed at Youth and Government Districts Saturday at Duncanville High School. Two students won Distinguished Delegate in their respective committees and they will be advancing to state in Austin.

Carolina Dulce Craft, inspired to become a nurse after her father’s stroke, has over seven years of hospital experience, including time as a travel nurse. This year, she’s taken on the role of a school nurse, focusing on student health and education. (Liberty High School)

Due to construction in Downtown Frisco on Main Street, the annual Veterans Day Parade has been canceled until November 2026.

Lauren is a member of many organizations on campus, including PALs, Rocky’s Roses, and Best Buddies.
