The monthly board meeting on Monday started with the recognition of the Wakeland Boys Cross Country Team, Centennial Tennis Team, and all Frisco ISD National Merit Semifinalists.
Presentations were also given to the board about varying subjects for next school year including the proposed academic calendar, rezoning, and the new Access Frisco Program.
Based on current enrollment numbers, the district shared that they do not plan to redraw attendance zones for the 2025-26 school year.
Additionally, district leadership shared their vision for a program that would allow kindergarten through 7th grade students from outside of district boundaries to attend certain Frisco ISD schools that are projected to be under-enrolled for next school year.
The board ultimately voted to approve minutes from the October meeting, legislative priorities for the Texas 89th legislative session, as well as the 2025-26 academic calendar.
