The Redhawk girls’ basketball team (4-5) played a tournament Thursday through Saturday, going two for four with a 53-18 win against Wylie East, 46-34 loss against Cedar Hill, 38-24 loss against Allen, and a 50-30 win against San Marcos.
“We could work on defending better, and definitely trying to score a bit more,” varsity basketball, player sophomore Danivea Hughes, said.
According to the head girls’ basketball coach Ross Reedy, this tournament showed the team’s overall capability.
“We learned we are capable of pretty solid play,” Reedy said. “We are still in the process of developing consistency and chemistry in order to play well against bigger, tougher opponents. So right now, we play somebody about middle of the road, we do pretty well. We have some moments against bigger teams that we need to build consistency so that we can beat those teams.”
