Focusing on defense game, the Redhawk girls’ basketball team fell to La Vega High School, 50-37 on Thursday.
“When we started the game, we had such a good attitude, and towards the end when we were losing a little bit, we were doubting ourselves and lost that momentum,” junior Natalia Soto said. “A lesson from that game is to have that momentum throughout the whole game.”
The team doesn’t have to wait long to get back on the court as they host South Grand Prairie on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
For senior Katheryn Murphy, communication is essential in order to win this game.
“Something that we’re really going to have to do is boxing out and getting 50-50 balls,” Murphy said. “We need to communicate and talk on defense, and play as a unit together.”
