While most Frisco ISD students are wrapping up the semester without the pressure of final exams, those enrolled in Collin College dual credit courses are preparing for finals season.
“I’m taking my World Lit final and my Econ final,” Dunlop said. “I’m preparing by going through all my old quizzes for World Lit, filling in the correct answers, and reviewing them. For Econ, I’m using my old tests and studying until I have all the information I need.”
With the district eliminating finals in 2012, students such as junior Reid Edwards are figuring out their own approach to the semester exams.
“I have two finals coming up—one in my History and English dual credit class. For my English dual credit, we are writing a Lit Theory essay, and we’ve kinda been working on rough drafts, and he’s helping us in class. And then for my third final, we have an EOC coming up. And for that, we’ve just been studying and talking more about the topics in class.”
