Where has Kahoot gone?
I remember when Kahoot was THE class review game when I was little. It’s still popular today, but it’s getting shoved to the side by Blooket.
Kahoot is so much fun because of how competitive the classroom gets. Not only is the gameplay great, but can we just talk about the music? Like, no matter what genre of music suits your fancy, there is no way that you can dislike Kahoot music.
There’s always been so many funny memes of Kahoot and I get excited when the teacher announces that we’ll be playing it to review before a test. The game just does a great job of helping me focus and memorize answers for tests while also making it less stressful (meaning the test obviously; a competitive class is definitely stressful).
When I arrived in middle school, Blooket was new for me. I remember hearing one of my teachers saying that we will be playing it to review, and I wondered, “What is all this new stuff?” “Where did Kahoot go?”
Don’t get me wrong, Blooket is fun as well. The games are very competitive and I love choosing what character to play as when I join the lobby. Not only that, Blooket gives you coins to unlock more characters to play as. It provides cool minigames that aren’t in Kahoot.
I don’t have a problem with Blooket or anything, it’s just that Kahoot is, like I said, THE review game. Gimkit and Quizziz exist too, but Kahoot is by far my favorite.
So far as I’m going through high school, I’ve been playing Blooket more often in my classes than Kahoot. I’m starting to miss Kahoot so much; it’s basically an ancestor. I love growing up with Kahoot.
I’d like to see Kahoot more often and give Blooket a break. Nothing can beat the original and I’d love to hear that exciting Kahoot music again. Bring it back!
