Wingspan: What is your favorite part about being in our school’s theatre department?
France: “My favorite part about Liberty’s theatre department is the people and the directors because they are very nice and make it feel like a safe environment to embrace yourself in many kinds of ways.”
Wingspan: Can you share one of your favorite memories related to theatre?
France: “My favorite memory related to theater is getting on stage for opening night and singing for the audience at The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite character role you’ve played?
France: “My favorite role that I have played is either Justin Laboy from 21 Chump Street or, of course, Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
Wingspan: What is a dream role you hope to play one day?
France: “My dream role would be to play Seaweed in Hairspray the Musical.”
Wingspan: What do you think made The Hunchback of Notre Dame production stand out from other productions you’ve been a part of?
France: “I believe what set it apart was the drive that everyone had because they knew this would be going on in front of a lot of people, so everybody making sure they knew all of their blocking, singing, dancing, etc., was really important and necessary for the success and difference of other shows.”
Wingspan: What are some goals you have for yourself in regards to performing/being in theatre in general?
France: “Some of my goals are to get more experience with acting, singing, and dancing. I would also learn to do some technical stuff as well because it is so amazing to see everything form together because of them.”
