December Board meeting recognizes the fine arts

The Board of Trustees is having their monthly meeting Tuesday. They plan to recognize the Redhawk girls’ basketball team for their win at the state championship, along with several other agenda items.

The meeting kicked off with a performance from the Frisco ISD Elementary Honor Choir and a thanks for their service to the community.

The board also congratulated students and their directors who advanced to UIL state marching band.

Lastly, the board went over all of the purchases of over 100,000 that were made in November.

The board will meet again on Wednesday morning in a closed session for a budget workshop.

Joaquin Perez is a Senior in his fourth year of broadcast and is an Executive Producer this year for the WTV Daily Update. He is also Student Council President, and a Best Buddies Officer in PTSA and in NHS. For fun, Joaquin likes to hang out with his friends, watch TV, and cook. He is excited to take on being an executive producer this school year and can’t wait to make content for WTV.
