The boys’ basketball team (11-6) did not quite have what it took to pull off a win against Wakeland (10-5), falling to the Wolverines 47-40 in a home game Tuesday.
“Our shooting percentages were far below our season averages and we missed too many opportunities in the second half,” head coach Bruce Wright said. “We missed a bunch of shots we normally make. Many were right in front of the rim. We made some poor decisions both offensively and defensively and we allowed Wakeland to play towards their strengths. Hopefully it’s a learning experience and we can bounce back on Friday.”
Sophomore Ian Williams believes that the Redhawks did not live up to their potential for the game.
“We couldn’t hit shots nor could we finish around the rim,” Williams said. “There was a lot more we could have done like focus on our offense more to be more prepared going into the game.”
