For students interested in military career and job opportunities, today’s military fair might be worth a visit. During all lunches, a military fair will be hosted for students interested in a military career and potential job opportunities
Representatives from U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and Texas Army National Guard will be present to talk about their career and job opportunities.
“Any student who doesn’t have a definitive idea of what they wanna do [the military fair] is a great time to learn about educational benefits, career opportunities and that kinda thing,” (F-I) counselor Ryan Kiefer said. “It’s just another opportunity for students to you know to look at their options post high school.”
For science teacher Suma Joseph, who spent 7 years in the Indian Navy, the military can bring good exposure.
“I think it is wonderful because you know college and career out there in the corporate world may or may not be for everybody,” Joseph said. “The services is always a distinguished career that you can always start from and then build from there. I think it is wonderful opportunity for having that fair and that exposure for the students at a very young age, which I never had so I’m very happy about the amount of exposure that you all get.”
The military fair will take place in the lecture hall where students can come in without any registration.
