The boys’ basketball team seeks to notch their first win in District 11-5A competition over winter break. The Redhawks will travel to Heritage Friday at 7:15 p.m. before taking a break from conference play for a game against Highland Park on December 28th, closing out their winter break slate with a home game against Independence.
“These games really give us an opportunity to correct some of our more recent mistakes,” assistant coach Robert Wilson said. “But we’re playing some really good competition, so we need to make sure that we don’t repeat them.”
With these games occuring break, senior Jonathan Banks says the Redhawks can’t let the different circumstances distract them.
“These games will have a bit of a different atmosphere to them because they take place over break,” Banks said. “But if we stay focused, I think we can play some really good ball.”
