An unexpected snowstorm hitting DFW on Thursday and Friday resulted in some unexpected changes with the girls’ and boys’ soccer schedules.
Originally scheduled to play three games, the boys were rescheduled to play one game on Saturday, while the girls’ games were canceled altogether.
“It was good getting out to play despite the weather conditions,” senior Lucas Godoy said. “Especially right before district starts getting rest was important, so it was also nice not having as many games.”
The chosen opponent, however, wasn’t who they were originally scheduled to play, but the Redhawks were able to pull off a 4-0 win against Melissa High School.
“Scoring Saturday helps with confidence heading into districts,” sophomore Asher Ervin said. “We need to carry this momentum into this week.”
