The boys’ basketball team looks to improve to 3-3 in District 11-5A as they travel down Rolater to face the Frisco Raccoons (1-4) Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
“Frisco is another great shooting team, they have a ton of guards who move, cut and screen well,” assistant coach Robert Wilson said. “It’s on us to treat them with the same respect we do our opponents at the top of the standings. Right now we’re in no position to be comfortable with where we’re sitting, so every game is the biggest one for us. We’re going to try and limit their open looks again, then play with the same intensity and aggression we did against Emerson.”
Carrying on that style of play is the goal of players such as junior Toshiro Mahtani.
“We can never let our guard down, no matter who we are playing and what the standings or the scoreboard says,” Mahtani said. “It’s when we do that that we slip up and fall behind.”
