The girls’ basketball team (9-1) made the short trip to Centennial (2-8) on Tuesday, coming out with a 41-11 win that gives the team a four game winning streak and keeps them in second place in District 11-5A.
“I think our defensive principles were very important [in securing the win] as well as recognizing and making the right reads offensively,” assistant coach Jayci Morton said.
For senior Kathryn Murphy, defense was a key part of securing the win against Centennial.
“We made sure that we were playing solid defense and playing together and taking good shots,” Murphy said. “Also having good ball movement, keeping possession of the ball and not turning it over while also rebounding and boxing out.”
