Wingspan: Why did you choose to pursue theatre?
Jessop: “I choose to do theatre because it’s entertaining and it keeps me busy.”
Wingspan: What’s your favorite play that you’ve been in?
Jessop: “My favorite play was “Bright Star”. We did it my freshman year. It was my favorite because everyone in the play was so talented and the choreography was really fun.”
Wingspan: What’s the best thing about theatre to you?
Jessop: “The best part of theater is the people you meet and friends you make along the way.”
Wingspan: If you could give any advice to someone wanting to pursue theatre, what would it be?
Jessop: “Put yourself out there and have fun!”
Wingspan: Do you like plays or musicals better? Why?
Jessop: “I like musicals better because I love the music and the dances are fun.”
Wingspan: What have you learned from theater?
Jessop: “I have learned how to confidently perform in front of people.”
Wingspan: What skills has theater helped you work on and why has it been beneficial?
Jessop: “Theater has helped me work on my stage presence, which has helped me in future plays.”
Wingspan: Why would you recommend theater to incoming freshmen?
Jessop: “I would recommend theater because it’s a good way to connect with people, and gain confidence.”
Wingspan: What’s been your favorite experience in theater?
Jessop: “My favorite experience in theater was playing Frollo in the most recent musical because I love singing and have always wanted a main role in a musical.”
