Soccer looks to add positive points to their record Friday after the boys tied and girls lost Tuesday against Centennial.
The girls will take on Heritage at 5:30 at The Nest with head girls coach Kyle Beggs believing the team needs to stick to their fundamentals.
“Play hard, just be us, try to play soccer,” Beggs said. “Move the ball around and score some goals and have good defense, so there’ll be a good opponent though.”
With a current district record of 0-3, senior Sydney Boroughs is hoping for a win.
“Hoping to win of course and then also just improving our speed of play,” Boroughs said.
On the boys’ end, they will play Heritage away at 7:30 a team with the same record as the Redhawks 1-1-1.
“I think that if we can dial in our game, play the game that I know we can play, then we don’t have to spend a whole lot of time worried about them,” head boys coach Evan McGee said. “But doing what we can do well, and they should be the ones that will be more worried about the opponent.”
