Wingspan: What made you join Red Rhythm?
Jain: “So first I joined dance 1 freshman year, and it was honestly my best class and I really wanted to dance more often in school and I saw Red Rhythm as a perfect opportunity for me. I was able to enjoy my passion for dance and be more involved in school activities.”
Wingspan: How long have you been on Red Rhythm? What has your experience been like?
Jain: “I have been on Red Rhythm for 2 years, and it has been an extremely welcoming environment since day 1 and has always been the best part of my day. I am now also a social officer for Red Rhythm since it is a place I like to put in all my effort and energy.”
Wingspan: What do you enjoy most about being on Red Rhythm?
Jain: “The people make it the best part, Red Rhythm is truly a family with the amount of time we spend together and they bring me up when I feel down and have always made Red Rhythm a safe environment.”
Wingspan: What is the hardest part of being on a drill team?
Jain: “Definitely the time commitment, Red Rhythm has many out of school practices and class time dedicated to our choreographies, but it honestly just makes your time management skills and your ability to dedicate yourself to activities so much better.”
Wingspan: What’s your favorite/most memorable performance?
Jain: “My favorite performance was when we performed Hip-Hop for our basketball game, because the crowd was so hype and cheered us on for our energetic performance.”
Wingspan: How do you balance school, drill team, and personal life?
Jain: “Red Rhythm honestly builds your time management skills and as these life skills improve, balancing all of these aspects of life becomes so much easier with time.”
Wingspan: What’s your favorite memory from Red Rhythm?
Jain: “My favorite memory from Red Rhythm was our Austin Trip at the end of the year last year, we were able to do aerial silks and goat yoga which was an amazing time.”
Wingspan: Do you plan on continuing to dance after high school?
Jain: “Sadly, my journey for dancing will end with Red Rhythm but I will definitely continue to dance on my own accord and it will always be a huge part of my life.”
