Recognitions and refurbishments on the books at monthly board meeting

Students can join the FISD Achieve Mentoring program by attending the next training session and help guide students toward success in school and life.

Every month the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees holds a monthly meeting to discuss the business of the district and February’s meeting is tonight.

The meeting is set to kick off with special recognitions including the district’s school resource officers, 15 students who earned a perfect SAT or ACT score, and students who were recognized through the CollegeBoard National Recognition Program.

In addition, the meeting will also feature a future ready spotlight on Christie Elementary. 

The board will vote on whether or not to approve meeting minutes from the January meeting, and authorization to sell district property for funds to re-invest elsewhere in the district.

Lauren is a senior entering her fourth and final year with Wingspan! This year she is an Executive Producer for the WTV Daily Update. Lauren is a member of many organizations on campus, including PALs, Rocky’s Roses, and Best Buddies. In her free time, she enjoys all types of crafting, dance, and photography as well as spending time with her family and friends! She is looking forward to everything her senior year will bring!

Christine Han is a senior and this will be her third year on the Wingspan staff. She manages social media for Wingspan and is also a photographer. She will be participating in her 4th year with the CTE Competitive Mock Trial Team. In her free time she likes to work in various women’s rights groups, read books, watch movies, and hang out with her friends. If she’s not too busy, she also likes to bake.
