The boys’ basketball team fell to The Colony at Plano Senior High School on Tuesday, 66-54, ending their run in the 2025 playoffs.
“[The Colony has] really good players; three in the top 25 ranked players in the state, and I think it showed, with them making tough shots,” head coach Bruce Wright said, “I can only think of less than five times where we gave them a shot where I felt it wasn’t tough, and they made those shots.”
One of the biggest challenges for junior Gilbert Aluga was keeping control of the ball the entire game.
“Early in the game, one of the challenges I faced was just taking care of the ball. Me and a lot of my teammates, we’d drive in the point and they’d send a second guy at us and we’d lose [the ball],” Aluga said. “Even the times we didn’t lose it, we’d lose the advantage we created.”
