This past weekend, I went prom dress shopping with my two best friends Sophia and Addison. We went all over town and even went into Dallas. However, I did not find my prom dress. It was a really annoying process if I’m being completely honest. 

I’m someone that doesn’t really love going shopping and trying on clothes. For one thing, I just hate the way I look sometimes and trying on clothing just exasperates that feeling. Second, everything is just so expensive nowadays that it feels like a burden or chore to figure out what I want to get. 

I tried on four dresses in total. My friends each picked out one dress for me to try. Addison picked out a green dress with a slit and flowers on for me to try. I’m not going to lie, it was really ugly and I did not like it at all. It made my arms look weird and the color was just so unflattering. 

The second was chosen by Sophia. It was gold with a ton of jewels and it was sleeveless. I actually did not hate this design. It was also a really beautiful shade of gold. The only reason I didn’t get it was because I wear mostly silver jewelry and I didn’t particularly love how my arms looked in them. 

The third one was one I chose myself. It was a steely blue, which was what I was always going for. It was fitted and had straps, thank god, and had very subtle floral patterns on them. It was my favorite but it was absolutely too big. 

I’m not even going to mention the fourth one because it brings back bad memories. 

I’m going back sometime next week to hopefully find the dress for me. 

But as of right now, I am dress-less.
