Wingspan: When and why did you start playing softball?
Glatch: “I started playing softball when I was five years old. I was inspired by watching my older sister and brother play softball and baseball, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about softball?
Glatch: “My favorite part of softball is the friendships I’ve made along the way and the incredible coaches who have shaped me both as an athlete and as a person.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest inspiration?
Glatch: “My biggest inspiration is my brother. I truly admire his passion and dedication, not only to baseball but also to his faith.”
Wingspan: Being on the team for all four years of high school, what have you learned from Redhawks softball?
Glatch: “I’ve learned so much from this program, but the lesson that will stay with me the most is to always be grateful for what you have and to slow down and enjoy every moment.”
Wingspan: How has only having 11 players on the team affected your play?
Glatch: “Having a smaller team has allowed me to build deeper friendships and stronger connections with everyone, making the experience even more meaningful.”
Wingspan: What are your goals for this season?
Glatch: “My goal for this season is to stay present, focus on the now, and truly enjoy my senior year.”
Wingspan: Do you plan to continue your softball career after high school?
Glatch: “Yes, after high school, I plan to continue playing at Weatherford College for two years before transferring to Baylor University.”
