The Redhawks softball team (2-1) notched a 13-1 victory against Centennial (0-3) Friday at the Nest, one that was significant for several reasons.
For one, it was on middle school night, allowing the team to showcase their skills to potential future players.
Furthermore, it gave them another win against their rivals on Rolater.
And if that’s not enough, the twelve-point margin of victory is the Redhawks’ largest since they defeated Commerce 13-0 at the Big Cat Tourney last year.
“We are always learning something from the game,” head coach Tiffany Thayer said. “Win or lose, we’ll walk away knowing at least one more thing about ourselves—what we’re capable of, where we can improve, and how we can grow. Every game is an opportunity to get better, and that’s what truly matters.”
Redhawks softball players did not immediately respond to Wingspan’s request for comment.
