Due to the weather, the Redhawks track team faced Braswell High School on Friday instead of The Colony. Despite the sudden change, the team managed to bring home some hardware, with the girls finishing first in long jump, triple jump, and other events.
For sophomore Chelsea Ross, who competed in the 4×4 and 4×2, maintaining a strong mentality was among one of the toughest opponents of the meet.
“I think the most challenging part of the meet for me personally was maintaining a positive mentality because I’m not very confident before I run,” Ross said. “Especially if it’s an individual event.”
