Redhawks soccer is now only one game away from the end of the regular season after facing off against Memorial Friday.
Losing 6-0, head girls coach Kyle Beggs believes the score does not completely reflect the girls’ efforts.
“Memorial is probably one of the top teams in the state right now,” Beggs said. “We’re relatively young, so was really impressed with the fight the girls showed in the game, especially in the second half. We were down by a lot but kept pushing. In my opinion, [we] won the second half.”
The boys, on the other hand, won 2-1 keeping them as a playoff contender.
“The win was what we needed, and it was nice to get it against a good team like Memorial,” senior Lucas Godoy said. “But now it just means we have to win Tuesday’s game in order to advance.”
