The softball team’s four-game winning streak came to an end Monday at The Nest, as the Redhawks (5-2) lost 10-1 to the Emerson Mavericks (6-1).
“We didn’t quite reach all of our team goals, but we did limit ourselves to just two errors, which is a step in the right direction,” head coach Tiffany Thayer said. “Our batting average was lower than we wanted, but there’s always room for growth.”
Despite the loss, senior Delila Bond makes the team’s intentions clear.
“This is motivation for us to get out there and play,” Bond said. “We’re a very tenacious team and we’re not going to give up.”
