Even with the school year winding down, the Redhawk theater department is set to present some final productions. The department will begin working on their final shows of the year, but with a twist.
The shows will be directed by seniors Vidisha Anand and Shradha Das as a goodbye to their time as members of the Redhawk Theatre.
“I’m excited to work with the actors because I don’t want to make it feel like it one person ruling over everyone,” Anand said. “I want it to be a collaborative process and I’m excited to see what ideas people bring to the table.”
As current president of the theatre department, senior Shradha Das, believes that this is a great opportunity for underclassmen to get more involved on stage.
“For a lot of underclassmen they don’t have the experience to know how varsity is or have the opportunity to be known on stage,” Das said. “It’s a good opportunity to see them in these roles that they might not be able to get during their freshman and sophomore years, and it also prepares them to work with older people.”
Auditions will be Tuesday after school at 4:30 in the black box (F107). Students interested will need to prepare a 45 second monologue to present that day.
