In a season with various meets cancelled due to weather, the District 11-5A track and field meet at Kuykendall Stadium Wednesday and Thursday may see the Redhawksracing against more than opponents with storms expected. But for the Redhawks, it’s time to showcase their skills.
“I think we’re ready for districts,” girls head coach Khera Vay said. “There was some like really bright spots as far as the meet goes and I think we’re on the right track.”
Facing off against eight other Frisco ISD schools, Redhawks such as sophomore Danivea Hughes and junior Cecelia Rowe are ready.
“I’m feeling really confident for districts,” Hughes said. “A lot of us are putting a lot work to better ourselves and just do better.”
“I am looking forward to districts,” Rowe said. “I have a chance to make regionals and area.”
