Turning things around after two losses against Centennial, the baseball team (3-4) hit the road Tuesday and came home with a 8-4 win over Heritage (0-7).
“So we focused on what their pitcher was going to do, which was pitch at the top of the zone, so we executed the laying off the pitch that was down, and attacked the fast ball up,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “Then we just continued to do what we do, run bases well, and be aggressive.”
According to freshman Joshua Fei, Griffin Jenkins as well as overall response helped the team secure the win.
“Griffin Jenkins did really well, he went three for three, two doubles and one single,” Fei said. “Overall we just competed really well and responded to them scoring more runs very well.”
