The Redhawks got their first run of the past six games in their District 9-5A softball game on Tuesday against Wakeland High School, but fell short to the Wolverines 11-1.

Head coach Jill Bradshaw believes the team has come a long way from the start of the season.

“We have been focused on strengthening our team lately and we have been able to see some improvement,” Bradshaw said.

With the hope of leveling the playing field for future games, the team has set expectations for themselves.

“I have set goals for myself and for my other teammates,” sophomore Gabby Sanchez said. “With a positive mindset I think we will continue to get better and accomplish them.”
