With only five days until Saturday’s prom, the ballot has finally opened for the 2025 prom court. Five girls and five boys have the opportunity to be crowned king and queen to enhance the already special night.
“My nomination definitely makes me excited because this is something that makes good stories and good memories for later,” senior Evan Bullitt said. “Win or lose, I’m just glad I have the chance to experience something like this.”
Up for prom king are seniors Evan Bullitt, Khaleb Cooper, Nolan Sow, Shaunak Misra, and Max Dowd. For the ladies’ seniors Morgan Sales, Phoebe Atchley, Sophia Hung, Vrinda Sommisetty, and Christine Han. For some candidates seeing their name on the ballot was a shock.
“I was surprised that I was nominated because, like, who would even vote for me,” Han said. “Honestly, I couldn’t care less if I won but I would love for Sophia to win and shake up who wins, because it seems to be the same people over and over again.”
Best friend to Han, Hung is forced to run against her friend.
“Prom queen was never that important to me,” Hung said. “I’m just happy I get that my friend and I can share this moment. I think it will be really funny to see how it plays out, but either way, I’m excited for prom.”
Seniors who would like to vote for king and queen should fill out this form.
