A severe weather system hit Frisco in the early morning hours Wednesday knocking out power to several schools in the district including Staley Middle School. Despite the interruption of power, the school day continued for normal hours.

The early morning storms that hit the Frisco area hours before sunrise led to power outages at some Frisco ISD buildings including Staley Middle School, Rogers Elementary School, Student Opportunity Center, Acker Special Programs Center and the Laura Ellison Child Development Center (CDC) among them. While all schools are open for normal school hours, STAAR testing at Staley and Rogers will be rescheduled.

Below is a Storify news story on Wednesday’s early morning storm but due to internet restrictions, it can not be viewed on campus.
