After hundreds of hours of practice starting in August, band will showcase its 2017-18 year with their spring concert on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

“I have no expectation,” band director James Weaver said. “I think our hard work has paid off. It’s manifested itself in the amount of kids that are making region bands, all state bands and going on and doing music careers and marching contest results and concert contest results, all of those things.”

Senior Nathan Brooks is ready for the last time he will play his saxophone as part of the school band.

“I think all the work we put in from start to there has prepared me for that moment,” Brooks said. “So for the past seven years that we’ve been playing my instrument has prepared me for that moment and I’ll continue to do so.”
