Taking part in the Trinity Trojan tournament, the Redhawks wrestling team heads southwest to Trinity High School in hopes of taking gold in an all-day competition on Friday and Saturday.

“I’m feeling great, everyone is wrestling awesome and doing what they’re supposed to,” senior Austin Widner said. “I’m expecting to win the tournament. It’s really tough but I think that I, and bunch of other guys, can take gold.”

Widner believes that if the Redhawks can find success during this tournament, the results will set them up to do well during the district championship in February.

“This is a really hard tournament,” Widner said. “Doing well here will set the team up for lots of success at districts.”
