The wrestling team took the mat last Friday as they traveled to Euless to compete in the Trinity Trojan Tournament at Trinity High School with the girls’ team taking 4th in the tournament with 104 points.

“I think the girls team has been improving throughout the season,” junior Daley Burkett said. “We have moved people into different weight classes due to injuries, and I’m really proud of how everyone adjusted to the changes and worked to do what’s best for the team Friday.”

For the boys, the team ended up with 139 team points placing 5th overall.

“I think our energy just keeps improving,” senior Austin Widner said. “Our heavier weight groups have been pulling through and I can’t wait to see what the rest of season brings.”
