The meal began with appetizers- pide ekmegi, a type of Turkish flatbread, and acili, a spicy sauce. Both tasted great, and these two appetizers complemented each other very well.
Next up were lamb chops (aka pirzolas), complete with Turkish rice, steamed vegetables, and sauce. The lamb chops were very tender and soft with a hint of spice.
For dessert it was the relatively well known Baklava. Slightly too sweet, walnuts enhanced the rich taste of the Baklava and added a slight crunch.
Beyond the food, Cafe Istanbul is was very beautiful inside, with the color scheme ranging from a royal blue to a shade of milky white. The candles and lights made the overall mood even better with service fast and friendly.
Cafe Istanbul is a very beautiful restaurant and is sure to make anyone’s experience of tasting great Turkish cuisine enjoyable.
