Looking to serve up a victory, tennis takes on the Wakeland Wolverines on Friday at Wakeland following the end of the school day at 4:15 p.m.

Junior Tyler Brown aims to implement a strong mentality in order to achieve his desired result.

“Overall, I’m feeling very confident and we are expecting a pretty decisive win,” Brown said. “We’ve been practicing on strengthening our mental game and focusing on how to execute technique under pressure. My goal is to play a confident and relaxed game.”

Practicing every day during fourth period, freshman Mila Dopson believes she has developed chemistry with her teammates and that they will perform well.

“The team and I have really been putting in as many hours a day as we can to prepare for this match and ones to follow,” Dopson said. “I like that while preparing for the matches I get to bond with the team. Besides winning, my goal for this match is to have a good attitude, work hard, and to play as best as I can. Just putting in the practice and effort gets me motivated for every match.”
