The girls basketball team hit the road to take on the knights, where they out victories, 35-20. As for the boys’ their game was canceled due to positive COVID-19 cases.

The boys’ basketball team had to cancel their game due to positive COVID-19 cases, the girls’ basketball team was back in action, Friday, as they went to Independence High School, and beat the Knights 35-20 in District 9-5A play. 

“We were stingly defensively,” head coach Ross Reedy said. “We didn’t surrender buckets easily.” 

With the district season just tipping off, the girls’ team still has things they want to improve on before they look to heading back to San Antonio and another run at a state championship

“Our team is working on improving our basketball IQ,” senior Kayla Pernis said. ”Knowing the capabilities of our teammates in order to put them in the best possible situations.”
