Scouting out their competition for the following week, the Redhawks are on the hunt for improvement looking to progress before the end of the season. With under four games left, both the boys’ and girls’ teams are giving it all they have.

Playing for the second consecutive night due to last week’s weather postponed games, both Redhawks soccer were able to score four goals on Lebanon Trail Wednesday night at Toyota Stadium in District 9-5A play.

For the girls’ team, they were able to shut out the Trail Blazers, winning 4-0.

“We had a great win,” senior Sydney Andros said. “We were able to move the ball around a lot and make great runs from all positions. One of our goals was from one of our defenders, so that just shows how hard we all worked.”

Following the girls’ win, the boys beat the Trail Blazers 4-1.

“We did a really good job of moving the ball and creating space which created a lot of through balls which is where our goals came from,” junior Chris Marquine said. “It was all about intensity and focus and that’s how we kept putting the ball in the net.”

Both teams will have their third game of the week Friday against Frisco High School.

“We don’t have any practice Thursday or Friday,” Andros said. “So we are really just trying to eat right and stretch, to make sure we are good to go for Friday, to get another win this week.”
