The wrestling team is making up for a delay in its season with a flurry of matches and meets. Two days after taking on three schools Wednesday, the Redhawks are back on the mat for a tournament Friday and Saturday at Coppell High School

“In practice we’ve been drilling moves that our coaches noticed needed work from the previous meet,” sophomore Garrett Reeves said. “We stretch and condition in the morning to loosen up our muscles and to stay energetic with meets back to back.”

Besides hoping to beat their opponents on a technical level, the team hopes to be able to outcompete each player on a stamina level.

“We’re all constantly pushing ourselves,” senior Michael Breslav said. “Not only physically but also mentally in order to be able to beat our opponents using technique as well as outlasting them.”
