The Heritage Coyotes (6-0) continued their winning streak in District 9-5A by taking down the Redhawks 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15) Tuesday night.

Following the loss, the team has an increased motivation to prove what they can do on the court as they sit with a 2-4 district record.

“We have been able to get a lot closer this year with the different bonding activities we’ve gotten to do in practice with Covid-restrictions being lifted,” Peters said. “To me, we’re getting better with each game because of how close we have gotten which really pushes us to work harder and motivate one another.”

Although the team failed to meet their expectations against Heritage, they are holding their heads high and focusing on the positive.

“I’m excited for the rest of the season,” Peters said. “We’ve been able to have a lot more practices but also do more things off of the court which is something I don’t think many other teams get.”
