Red Rhythm tryout packets are due Thursday at 4:15 p.m. in order try out for the 2016-2017 school year. Packets can be turned in to the front office here or at Vandeventer, or Fowler, or to drill team’s director, Nicole Nothe, in the dance studio.

“A lot if it district mandated, and there are a few things that are campus mandated [in the packet],” Nothe said. “There are certain district mandated forms that you have to give to the school in order to try out, and we have to collect [candidate] grades and demographic information.”

Candidates who attended the tryout meeting in February must print out the tryout packet and have it signed by their parent or guardian. Those who do not turn in their packet by the allotted time will be ineligible to tryout but Nothe hopes the candidates make the most of it.

“Just have fun and enjoy the moment,” Nothe said. “We hope that everyone makes the team, but in case there’s a situation that you may not, it’s a great opportunity to work another year with the directors in a drill team training class, and then come back and be even stronger.”
