Baseball moves forward into a busy weekend as they finish their series with the Centennial Titans on Friday at 7 p.m. and begin their series against the Memorial Warriors on Saturday at 1 p.m., both at home.

Senior outfielder Jeremy Hussey feels confident in the team’s ability to perform, citing the team’s energized environment coming off of several district wins.

“Tonight’s game is going to be a good one for sure,” he said via text. “I know that all of the seniors have a chip on their shoulder this season, and are ready to compete at their highest capabilities.”

Energy is something that the team will be in need of this weekend, as they push past their comfort zone in a three game week.

For junior pitcher/outfielder Makai Willingham, keeping up the energy is something that will be important on and off the field.

“Staying competitive through all innings is going to be something that’s important for us this weekend.” Willingham said via text. “For a lot of us, that means being loud in the dugout and having good body language on the field. We will all need to be ready to contribute when our names are called.”
