What were your thoughts, your feelings when you found out you won the election for student body president?

I wasn’t really on my phone when it happened because we were asked if we wanted to find out like that day. We found out on Saturday I think it was Sunday actually sorry yesterday so we didn’t we got the choice of either to until waiting today to find out or like yesterday. We chose yesterday so I kind of knew I was going to find out the results sometime that day, but we found it out later in the day, and then I texted my parents like, “I found out I won” my mom was like so excited she like posted it on her Facebook you know kind of like her parent thing going on with that it was really nice. My family took me out to dinner it was just like a nice little celebration we had. 

What emotions did you feel? Were you excited, relieved, or surprised?

I was kinda well like throughout the election I was like th I would say I was surprised like relieved also from a lot of stress cause like the election was really long, it was 2 weeks long so like but either way, me and Harley were going to work together anyways, so i wasn’t really like gonna be too disappointed if I lost or like vice versa because were going to be working together anyways and we have ideas we wanna incorporate for next year and so those are going to come out either way. 

 Now that you are officially StuCo president, what are the- your priorities for next year what are the things you really kind of what to tackle or try to tackle?

So there’s somethings that people won’t see like there’s things in student council that we’re going to be reforming like committees and such but throughout the school, I wanna give a lot more recognition for like all things, not just sports like in the rotunda we have like just sports that are just recognized. Like we are trying to get a bigger reach towards like clubs to get recognized, UIL events like color guard, cheer, band they can get a poster too in the halls and also like my big thing is spirit I want a lot of I want to bolster the school spirit really well because I wanna like have funding for school spirit and get like cowbells up the student section, get more people to show out to games and events and also the sports that don’t get recognized as much like baseball, golf, volleyball, and softball and such. 

Any last thoughts or anything you want to add?

Thank you to everybody who voted and it didn’t even have to be for me like 900 people that voted apparently and that’s the most we’ve ever had and so that’s like very important because it’s really important for you to contribute to what going on for next year. So I just want to say thank you for that.
