With the boys’ golf team finishing in third place at the District 9-5A tournament April 4-5 and falling short of advancing to the regional tournament, senior golfer Chase Fritz is the school’s lone representative at the 5A Region II tournament Monday and Tuesday in Rockwall.

“Competing as an individual is not as fun as with the team,” Fritz said. “But it really gives me the chance to focus on my own game.”

The weather could play a role as rain drenched the area Monday with another chance of more rain on Tuesday.

“With the weather being so poor, it’s really anyone’s game,” Fritz said. “Anyone who can go out and post a good number today will sure have an advantage over the field.”
