Trying to get a measure of payback, the boys’ basketball team faces off against Memorial Friday night at The Nest. The Warriors are the only District 10-5A team to beat the Redhawks so far in the 2022-23 play.

Boys’ basketball looks to keep their winning streak going at The Nest Friday at 8 p.m. as the team seeks some revenge on the Memorial Warriors, who delivered the Redhawks’ only district loss thus far into the season.

“They got a real tough squad, especially with their Texas Tech commit, so we gotta battle every quarter and if we want to come out with the win,” head coach Stephen Friar said. “We just have to focus on being the best version of ourselves, have good possessions, and know our limitations.”

The Redhawks are expecting a physical battle, where fundamental basketball will decide who comes out on top.

“We’re really trying to perfect what we do best, getting out on transition, sharing the ball, and playing solid defense,” senior Jereme Richardson said. “As a team, we gotta fight for every rebound, it was something that we sort of lacked the last time we played Memorial, so every possession matters.”
