The softball team could not soar above the Memorial Warriors losing 23-1 on Tuesday. The team is keeping a positive mindset though, and is walking away from the game with new knowledge.

The Redhawks softball team fell into a slump Tuesday night at The Nest, losing to the Memorial Warriors 23-1.

“The game against Memorial  was not our best performance,” co-assistant softballl coach Heather Whitcomb said. “I was disappointed that we did not make adjustments earlier [during practices] to give us the opportunity to compete.”

However, despite Tuesday’s run differential, the team sees benefits from the game as well.

“I continued to be positive and uplifting,” Whitcomb said. “We know what we need to do and what we need to work on to improve for the future.”

Senior Lixangely Martinez Lozada is of a similar mindset.

“Positive spirits will help us feel confident…in the games…[if we work] hard during practice every day,” Martinez Lozada said.
