The softball team saw a 4-0 loss to the Heritage Coyotes on Friday, their second loss to the Coyotes of the season. This brings their winning streak to an end, but the team is still hopeful for the rest of the season.

One of the Redhawks softball team’s best-ever winning streaks is over following a second 14-0 loss to the Heritage Coyotes on Friday.

Head coach Baylea Higgs believes that recovering from defeat will be a matter of time and effort for the team, who are now 4-4 in District 10-5A.

“[We had a] tough loss to a good Heritage team,” Higgs said. “[We’re] looking to bounce back next week.”

Although the Redhawks won’t get another chance to play the Coyotes this season, sophomore Francesa Duran’s has a simple three word message to Friday’s loss.

“This motivates us,” Duran said.
